Goal for 2021-2030:

Trade-in Value Added grows at an average rate of 8-8.5% per anum, contributing 11- 13 % of the province’s GRDP; Retail sales of consumber goods and services grows at an average rate of 11-12 % per anum; 40% of the total number of small and medium enteprises actively operating in major e-commerce platforms domestically and internationally.

Goal for 2031- 2045:

As of November 23, 2023, in Ca Mau, products meeting OCOP standards: 140 products

In there:

  • Products cetified to OCOP 4-star standards: 06 products
  • Products cetified to OCOP 3-star standards: 134 products

Notably, OCOP certified products are sold at prices usually 20 % higher than those of non OCOP products, resulting in 10-30 % increase in sales. OCOP standard certification also contibutes to continual improvement of the products quality, meeting an increased demand from consumbers for high quality products.

The province aims to having at least 40 new OCOP certified products, of which at least 30 meet 3 – 4 star standards; and supports upgrating at least 30 products to 4-5 stars standard in 2023.

In 2022, the province’s export turnover reach 1.3 billion USD.

To which:

  • seafood accounts for 82 %
  • In particularly, shrimp products alone accounts for 72% (nearly 1 billion USD) of the province’s export turnover, equivalent to 23.3% of the country’s shrimp export total.

The provincial authority continuingly supports businesses to enhance:

  • Expanding production and export of processed shrimp products (frozen shrimp, dried shrimp, etc.)
  • Stablising fertilizer production
  • Develop and market new export products such as: garments, dried bananas, dried jackfruit, mud crabs, rice, products from shrimp shells, fish meal,…
